This is one drawer of a 16 drawer stack, quite an old and battered cabinet, which contains jobber drill bits, roughly sorted to size, so this drawer contains some 1/4 drills but also others, not quite 1/4 and they may or may not need resharpening. On the right is the shell of a transformer. Every week, I am given at least 1/2 dozen obsolete/failed chargers or powerunits, which have been donated, but cannot be sold on, to dismantle, to extract the copper, and usually the front half remains intact and these can be useful to subdivide drawers.
So this shell was the right width, and height, then cut to length., then, because it had rounded edges, a shim was stuck on.
With a strip of tape wrapped round the sides and ends, its hardly to be distinguished.
Scruffy, like everything else.
