Congratulations! This was a good one. Washable plastic jaws was mentioned as a substitute for steel. UHMW plastic is good for food use and not terribly difficult to machine. 3D printing it used to be a challenge, but that may have changed. No kitchen is complete without a good vise for face-milling cabbage!
