I don’t know what the filler is, but it shouldn’t ned that much, if at all. Looks as though the rot goes higher than the part removed. Aren’t we lucky to have these sort of power tools now?

I don't have one, but it looks like they're a lot more useful than I thought.

I don't use mine very often but when I do no other tool can do what it does. There are lots of different attachments available too, sanders, knives etc and some blades will cut steel and cut concrete. Great for cutting square sided holes in wood, plaster board etc.

If you ever own an oscillating saw, you will wonder why you waited so long to buy one I liked the one I had so much when I saw one in an auction, I bought it just so I would have a spare
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

The first time I saw one being used I asked the guy about them. This was maybe 10 years ago his was a branded and expensive corded unit.
He said they were great with a multitude of attachments including shaped pads for sanding and buffing.
I found an ell cheapo that has served me well for many years now. The one I got at auction was $5.00 also unbranded cheap both are corded. no more than I use them I wouldn't want battery
