    Another video edited partially out of sequence. the mold cavity and die are for making sandals the black substance being packed in the already completed mold is the compound which will be the sandal

    Where is shows him pouring the Molten AL down both sides of a top mold are when he is making the bottom cavity of the mold the black compound is ground rubber to make the sandal out of he is also adding compound on the top of the upper mold to form the strap of the sandals then he places the large heavy weight on top which is probably stone, all of this will go into an oven for a determined time until the granulated compound melts once cooled a little trimming and he will have a sandal.
