    Shovel from post-hole digger

This is just a proof of concept. My brother-in-law was going to chuck a post hole digger with a broken handle, so I took it to try this. Three years later, I finally did it. All I did was to drill a new hole in the the scoop to accept the fiberglass portion of the unbroken handle. It's offset a bit, but not enough to make a difference. I'll make another one for him out of the other scoop, but it'll have a full-length handle.

It's not meant for heavy digging, so it might work as-is, but I may add a flange or step to the top.

I think that’s a great idea, certainly better than sending it to landfill. Good for digging trenches.
