Heck I even keep all my spent 22 cases, over time that is somewhere around 40lbs of brass now.

My small bore rifle club made a significant amount annually just with the .22 empties. Full bore shooters who don't reload are told to crush cases before disposal, though some now sell their empties to reloaders, as reloaded ammo is the criminals favoured source in the UK apparently, 243/308(7.62 nato) is problematic as cut down they make workable .45 ACP cases. Though with the amount of guns and ammo pouring out of Ukraine and the number of Skorpion smgs being used on UK streets I think there's bigger problems to worry about!
