    MAY have been unconscious? I'm pretty sure if that happened to me, and I was not unconscious, I would definitely WISH I was. Might have been dead by the time he hit the water, too.

    I have a ladder that looks something like that after my 280lb BiL decided to extend it as far as it would go and set at about a 45* angle. After he folded it almost double I pointed out the ladder had a 200lb weight limit. oops

    It was actually his ladder I just ended up with it. It had a couple straight sections that were long enough to be useful to me.

    If it was your BiL and you owned the ladder, he'd get a bill or you'd dis-own him?

    Per the gif, this rescue is complicated by several conditions, including unconscious man in the water, compared to being in open water.
