    sharpening table saw blades at Quinn Saw

    This is how a table saw blade gets cleaned, repaired, and sharpened at Quinn Saw in St. Louis, which has been in business for 113 years.

    -Cleaned ultrasonically.
    -Bent blades straightened.
    -Broken teeth repaired.
    -Blades CNC sharpened.

    It's intellectually useful in that it is interesting, but yes, the tools that they're using to sharpen blades will generally not be available to most people.

    It's interesting because they've evolved with [and probably helped develop] better equipment and processes, but many larger cabinet shops have smaller scale cutter grinding, and generally the physics of blades haven't changed too much. Foley Belsaw is a good example, people all over the place use their equipment.
