Who says a shaper can make anything but money? That machine is the only thing that can economically make that rail.

A shaper is still the best to do a machine ways as well, or properly for larger machines a planer.
Color me green. I SO want a shaper. Don't know why, just do.
Preferably a South Bend to go with my lathe and mill.
