The individual documentation for CamBam, CNC Wrapper, and Mach3 is very good. However, the documentation that treats the collection of all three programs as a single system is often hidden in their forums and not found in a single place. Yet they truly are elements of a single system. CamBam generates G-code, CNC Wrapper modifies this code, and Mach3 interprets it. If any program outputs G-code incompatible with the next program, our system is dead.
It has been a real challenge to find the correct key words to search the forums for this system level wisdom. This article expands on a brief but essential exchange found on the CamBam forum that explains how to configure CamBam so it will generate G-code files compatible with CNC Wrapper.
