This will work on other vehicles as well if you want to add separate brake lights to your vehicle, but the reason I had to do it was because the steering column I installed in my 91 F250 came out of a 93-ford ranger and did not have the wire to the turn signal switch for the brake lights it only had 6 wires and the 91 required 7 wires to be able to connect the stop light switch to it
What I did was I used a pair of relays since I did not have a single relay with double poles I wired the hot side of both coils and the hot side of the relays all together these 4 wires would connect to the stop light switch next I grounded the other coil terminals I then wired the #30 or the nortmally open terminals 1 to the left rear and one to the right rear
