OK idea, but I think for my purposes, I'd redesign the tensioning so I don't make a hole in the belt, and then can move the belt around to compensate for areas which get worn more than others.
Nice sanding block. Just flip the belt over to get to the unused side. Both sides can be used and the depression on one side aids curved surface sanding.
I like this better than many of the commercial blocks that are being sold.
