A sand whatnow? Fluffer?
...Anybody? Anybody? No? I'll just see myself out.
Greensand castings leave the sand dry and clumpy where it is nearest to the hot metal. A sand fluffer breaks up these clumps and mixes the sand so it has a uniform moisture content. This makes it easier to ram up the next mold. A sand muller does the same job, but in a different way.
Sand fluffers are not be confused with fluffers in the adult film industry. Divorce is expensive and sand chafes, so be careful which one you mount above your molding bench.
