For those of you who work in heavy industry, but prefer to wear sandals……..but proper boots are not available everywhere…..may I suggest this remedy.
That’s not just mild steel, that forms the main support (lowest). It was a handsaw blade. In its second incarnation, it formed part of the return spring on my hydraulic press. A dull red heat allows the curve to be formed. Likewise, the springs are flattened, at a red heat.: To get an even appearance, the spring must be tapped very lightly. I had in mind that they might form pectorals, etc, for costumes.
See what I mean? They’re not selling well.
The lowest band is mild steel, curved cold.
I made these sandals solely to entertain HMT members, and probably nobody on here is without proper safety shoes, but you have to admit, we’ve often seen workers without them. Hope you appreciate this post.
They are very clunky and I may not wear them indoors.
