now there is a feature that makes sense at the same end where the hole to hang it up is

This is my answer to drawing tool pickup. I use these on my fairly accurately scaled PC screen for 3d print part designing in OpenSCAD. When I first used these, I found the slightly beveled edges on the tools made them nearly impossible to remove from the screen until I put a small tab of blue painter's tape on them.

Those scales are made by a Japanese tool company. I don't think they are offered with Imperial graduations. I received one as a gift working with Japanese contractors at Tesla in Reno, NV. Used them everyday building the battery assembly line.
Same tool company has other terrific tools, popular with millwrights. A magnetic plumb bob rather like a gammon reel, magnetic protractors and the very best ball end hex Ell wrenches available. Longer than our common pattern, including a torque increaser that grips the bend, not stressing the shank like a cheater tube.
I'll post mine when I get home, if there is interest to remind me.
