    From my time with Reliant Scimitars which have a lot of those bushing at both ends I have always used washing up detergent to good effect, it dries out with no detriment to the bushings.

    That looks la control arm for a GMC of Chevy Hd 2500 pickup. I've done a few of those recently. I found that tgire bead compound works well. A product called Murphy's soap.
