Hi All
I was fortunate to buy two Rough terrain pallet trucks at auction for £22. Admittedly they were not in great shape but there was enough between the two to make one good one. So took a chance.
The first thing was to get them home as the are quiet heavy and large but luckily they just fitted in my van with help of a skilled forklift driver. Next issue would be to unload at home. Using an engine hoist was able to lift them out (eventually )
Then stripped both down and my gamble paid off there was all the bits needed to make a complete one.
set to work on cleaning all the bits for painting and overhauled the hydraulic ram fitted new tyres and the rough terrain pallet truck was back in action.
I then couldn’t bring myself to scrap the remaining bits so placed on a well known auction site and sold them for £60.
The photos below show the condition of the items bought at auction.
Finished in battleship grey.
Really pleased with the result and has been a real asset for moving pallets of fire wood up and down the garden.
