Lightbulb Rolling base and motor mount for 20" woodgears bandsaw

    Hi all,

For a while now my home made bandsaw has been clamped to a furniture dolly, at the wrong height, and with a temporary 1/2 hp motor clamped to the frame.

In the following two videos, I get the base and casters sorted, and I manufacture and fit a steel motor mount for my replacement 2hp motor, from some old C channel.

    Base and casters:

    Motor mount:

If you look back through my past videos, you can also find the videos where I modify the rotor of the replacement motor, to turn off the threads, build up the shaft, and then slot it for a keyway, and make a keyed pulley to suit.

Next up on the bandsaw build is lower enclosure and then finishing with paint on the bare steel, and oil on the bare wood.

    Cheers,
    Craig
