Just finished is this roll-able rack for storing longer pieces of metal and being able to access them easily. It measures 51-1/2" tall and is 24 inches square at the bottom.
Made mostly of 1x1x1/8 angle iron and 1/2 inch, 16ga square tube, I used this project to "hone" my Tig welding skills. Lots-O-Welds on this! I formed the shelves out of 22 gauge sheet metal and lined them with an old 66 Chevelle trunk mat.
I will be adding safety cables to the upper rung to avoid any uh-oh's. (falling metal and antique Chevy's don't go well together)
A fun project that is really needed. Now to find a spot to PUT IT!!!
