WOW now this is really useless, and coming from who knows where.

WOW now this is really useless, and coming from who knows where.

This is in China. it is actually probably one of the subway/ surfaces/elevated trains that I may have ridden.
There are a few reasons to reverse the seating those trains do not turn around on the return trips They are also very high speed and accelerate fast enough that you would be hard pressed to even remain in your seat if you were facing backwards. one of the ones I rode accelerated like a Dodge Charger with a blown 440 and duel quads. but slowed rather gently.
Of course, never the occasion on a metro train, but if you were traveling long distances with a party of 4 to 6 it would be convenient to have the ability to reverse a set of seats to be facing one another for conversations.
