Thanks Hemmjo, that's an option I thought of, but if I were to make one I would like to equal or better the original tool which is advertised as having the HSS blade. I've ordered two sizes as I have an immediate need for a tool like this.

I'm also wondering how the reversing mechanism works, and look forward to finding out. It looks intriguing.
