    Retractable Threading Tool Holder

    Retractable Threading Tool Holder.

This is a Re purposed old Mini lathe tool holder that was replaced by a quick change tool holder. I cut two slots one on each side for the cutting too and the quick release tool holder Bar.
I drilled three holes for the tool holder side to fasten the tool to the holder.
Another two holes for the stop bridge located on the front of the tool holder.
Before I would have to carefully retract the cross feed screw and remember the position before i removed it
when cutting threads. with this one added I can retract it quickly 1/8 inch to a mark I have scribed on the holder.
Allows for much faster threading times.

I broke my leg in four places and have been recovering. Or in solitary, as I like to call it.

Finally able to get upright(ish) so I can smell the sawdust in my toy workshop

    Regards

    Doc

Great idea and photos. Also the photo of the stop bar gave me another idea for a lathe modification. Thanks.
