Hello,
Long winded request for suggestions for logical storage of through-hole electronic components.
I finally sorted a metric boatload of NOS carbon resistors. These components, amongst others I've been hoarding for the last few dozen years also need a storage solution.
What do you use for storing through-hole components? There are so many options in hobby stores, including fishing tackle organizers, and other viable options I'll likely never see. As it stands I have a small, vintage metal case built back in the day ('60's?) apparently for a destribitor and specifically for resistors. The ~10x8x10" case has six drawers with several compartments per drawer. It's not particularly easy to use, just small and portable with nowhere near enough compartments. I like it and would rather not make any major modifications. relabel the drawers, etc.--iow I want to keep it's "look". Also, the number of available resistor values has increased on some and decreased on others, making the little storage box almost obsolete.
Thanks for your help.
Respectfully,
Bud - Niceville
