    That is a hot air rework station. I had one of those over a decade ago in a former life. I remember the solder in the syringe. Had to keep it refrigerated - which meant the lunchroom refrigerator was used and a big sign warning others off...

    It worked fine with the larger pitch SMDs, like that QFP44 or the SOP14. Once the lead pitch was below 1mm, it was harder to make it work well. I'm sure others got it to work well, just not me.

    Any one have a link for the solder? I have not been able to find it in hobbyist volumes?

    I have one now. I'm useless with it though. I can do basic stuff, but don't let me near anything you care about.

    Interesting that it’s 63/37, Sn/Pb, in the tube and their other Rosin core solder is exactly the same. Apart from being a slurry the tube solder is nothing special and should be easy to find.
