That is a REALLY good idea. Why don't all manufacturers include this feature.

You can also download the Roku app. It has a remote control function to be able to control the device. It also has private listening which allows you to use headphones plugged into your phone or Bluetooth headphones. Using the phone and the app you can have your phone on the charger while listening to the TV and it won’t drain the batteries in your remote.

You can also do this through the app on your phone if you have Bluetooth headphones

Maybe if I downloaded an app for my phone to turn it into my tv remote then I could lose my phone as often as we do the remote.
Na that wouldn't work I'd probably start getting the spam call on the tv. There are already 29 minutes of spammercials on Tv out of every hour now

I have a Samsung tv and have the app for it as well. At least if you lose your phone/remote you can call it from another phone to locate it unless it’s always on silent like my wife’s. But I think she does that so she can say she didn’t hear the phone ring when I call. Lol. I can’t stand commercials! I pay extra for the no ads in my streaming subscriptions. There is more ads than the show. Who knew an episode of Gilligan’s Island took 2 hours to watch.
