I was pondering on where you might use one of those things outside of a prefabricated log home factory. Then, I came across this! Underwater would have been about the last place I would have thought of, but what other power saw would you use?Remington Arms pneumatic chainsaw - photo-chainsaw.jpg

I would rather have one of those than the 2 cycle crap made now days. 4 years ago I bought a new sthil it lasted barely 1 winter the air breather didn't do anything to stop fine dust from being sucked into the engine. Corded electrics are slow and under powered for going much cutting battery powered ones go through batteies faster than you can charge them.
Never try to tell me it can't be done

To run that thing you will need a 460 Ford turned compressor. That is a large V8 engine using four of the cylinders to run the other four to compress the air...

Na, any good tire service compressor that can run a 1" impact to buzz off the lug nuts of a tractor trailer rig would be more than enough. At least that would have electric start and recharge its own battery, and you wouldn't have run $20.00 a gallon 2cyl fuel that you still have to add more oil to in order to get the correct mix level. because even premium pump gas is garbage.

Hahahaha! I love the CRAPNEUMATIC® logo and the wire tie mounting brackets (I guess we've moved on from duct tape in the 21st century). This thing is the worst of all worlds: small capacity, noisy, hard to start, and unreliable! I need to get started on one right away.
