    Regards from south Wales, UK

Hello folks, just a short intro - I've always been fascinated by mechanical and electrical kit. Now that I have a SB Heavy 10 lathe (a bit older than myself - it was made in 1943) a Raglan milling machine and an Elliott 10M shaper I am able to indulge myself at last by making things instead of having the ideas but being stuck for the means to achieve them.
I am impressed by the numerous clever items that regularly appear on this web-site and hope to be able to participate in future.

    Hello Ken,
    Thanks.
I've just been machining some angle-plates from castings - the shaper did a fine job of the outsides but I had to make a small diameter fly-cutter with carbide tips for the miller to clean up the inside faces. All good experience, but I must remember to be patient as I take the cuts!

    Regards
