My office/art studio makeover continues this week by reclaiming and re-purposing a large, very heavy corner hutch into a mobile, adjustable shelf cabinet.

The corner hutch was not a very efficient use of space and was very heavy. It was not easily moveable either. I decided to completely disassemble this unit and then reclaim the materials for use in the construction of a new and practical adjustable shelf system I can really use. I placed casters on the bottom of the unit so I can easily move it about whenever it might be necessary to reconfigure the layout of my small office/art studio.

I hope this video might give you a few ideas for doing something with an old piece of furniture you may have that is no longer being used and slated for the landfill.
