Well planned. Sometimes, it is worthwhile to employ a trusty scout to make sure the way is safe. Several years ago, a fishing guide was floating two clients (husband and wife) down a local river. Boat hit a tree snag, dumping all three into the cold water. Only the wife survived. So much for hiring an "expert" guide.
Obviously staged, the person with the camera was waiting at the tree.
