How did they maintain concentricity when they keep pulling the workpiece out of the chuck? Pull something out of a little three jaw chuck like that and you can expect to lose at least 2-3 thou. I would want that R8 holder to be within a few tenths. Ah well, probably better than the ER32/ER40 holders you can find on Amazon. I bought a few of those and you could measure the runout with a tape measure.

I'm sure there are people who are capable of doing things like that accurately with less-than-best equipment. I don't believe I would be one of them.
