Great stories guys and Moby Duck is so right about the cost of dental debauchery....still in the dark ages after all these years, and do not believe they adhere to Hippocratic Oath of Do No Harm. A decade or so ago a $10k bill from what started as an abscess on an old crown, turned into a 4 session face scrapping with a needle scaler, replacing 3 other crowns with porcelain 2 fillings and a filing (grinding) of 2 sharpies, lasting ~3months in total and when we got to the $10k mark said need to come back in a month for a bit more face scrapping and final cleaning, then once a year after that. Oh and no luck talking him out of a few used dental picks for the shop! Ok Thanks, Bye Bye!

And don't get me started on military docs or their Burly Orderlies with a natural tendency toward masochism and the training in use of a scrub brush on open wounds or body mechanics.
