    I am not sure if I would rather have a sore back from wrestling that thing all day, or just exercise my legs by simply pushing a regular shove with my foot. I am thinking the regular shovel.

    Taking the bite of dirt is the easy part. Even with this tool, he still has to get another regular shovel to lift the dirt out of the hole.

    That would be easier with a regular shovel instead of lugging 30# hammer around all day. That certainly is not the type of soil I have ever dug. It looks like 75% clay.

    It looks like they are mining clay. Being able to take clean slabs like that must be nice.

    Ah, I had not considered they are makings slabs rather than a hole.
    It would put things in more perspective if we saw what happens to the slabs next.
