#Powerplant#DieselPower
I get a tour of the Sidney, Nebraska power plant. The power plant was first started in 1906 using a Steam Engine generating DC power. Then it was converted to Diesel and AC generation. The newest Engine is a Nordberg installed in about 1956. They have two Fairbanks Morse, two Nordberg and a Fulton Iron Works engines. The plant is used for emergency power now. They are capable of starting from a complete black out.
