Nice idea, but you gotta question the strength of the concrete when it pours so wet.

What is the advantage / disadvantage of the excavator versus a concrete pump?

The cost of a pumper truck rental would be the only advantage I can see. But unless that concrete has a high long fiber content without any steel in the pour it looks like a set up for fail to me. A few years ago, I began noticing a lot of pours becoming wetter especially when using fibers instead of steel. But I don't keep up with the later edicts of civil engineering
