Hi all!
Since I'm trying to build a couple of petal horns with 4mm plywood and I have no scroll saw, I decided to build a sort of frame for the jig saw.
I found a steel scrap, rectangular bar 12mm thick, 4x M4 threaded hole, a perfect match for a sturdy frame easy to tighten in the vise.
Considering the entry level jigsaw I can't feel vibrations, everything seems ok.
A little attention is needed, the blade is free to move and there are no protections installed till now. I don't recommend the building of the frame without protections, but I'm cutting large pieces, my hands are far from the blade and I'm using a pedal switch to turn on/off the jig.
Ps: the screw in the last picture is trimmed, batteries of my camera finished before completing the task
