Long lens compression makes the planes appear closer than they really are.

There's only about ten seconds between rotate and touchdown...that's pretty tight timing.

Ask M. Klotz about this live, figuratively out his window.
COVID stalled it awhile, but they pour 24/7 into SoCal like water. In San Diego the drop in over hills from the south; about like an aircraft carrier in a bucket.
More airports exist worse than either one!

That is amazing. Better hope that plane that is leaving doesn't have any sudden mechanical issues.

What is also amazing is how much those wings bend and flex on the plane that is landing. Notice how much they droop there toward the end of the video.

Yabbut, LAX has two main runways, so you might see a landing very soon after a takeoff but it doesn't mean they were using the same runway.

The action shown in the gif is just downright nuts.

I've never landed at SD but I've talked to several pilots who have very bad things to say about it. I can remember being in Old Town and watching jet liners coming at me (it seemed) at stupidly low altitudes.

That might be Vortex Testing for initial certification of the Airbus A380. If I'm not mistaken, the first aircraft is an Airbus A319, while the second is clearly the very large A380. I might even go out on limb and speculate this was filmed in Toulouse, where they are manufactured.

That is Farnborough airport, probably during the airshow. Still very impressive!
