This Warbird F4U Corsair replica, built by JLabert05 on HomeBuiltAirplanes.com, is a rare and unusual prototype, constructed with the ultimate intent of commercial sale as a kit.

It's being built to 75% scale, although when building plane replicas, scaling certain parts negatively impacts the aerodynamic qualities of the plane, so the scale of each part has to be carefully considered.

When participants in the thread eagerly ask when it will be ready, the builder demurs and utters a classic build thread line: "Any estimate I give now will be way off."
