Made by me but not entirely at home as the forge work was done at a blacksmith's forge nearby as a two-day course. This was my first ever attempt at forge work.
There was about 3 days of finishing plus four days of oiling the handle that was done back at home after the forge time.
Handle is walnut, finished with four coats of "Mike's Magic Mix": equal parts pure tung oil, white spirit and varnish. The chopping board it's sitting on is also home-made (walnut, maple and cherry) - finished with mineral oil, which has also been used on the blade to give it some protection.
