    That young man knew exactly what he was doing. He could not let it fall into the road because of the wires on the road side of the tree. He climbed the tree in his bare feet He cut the notch correctly. He was off to the side of the falling tree and used his shoulder to guide the tree away from himself. Was secured to the tree by that crossbar he was sitting on. He may very well have had a rope tied higher up to make sure it fell correctly. I doubt very seriously he damaged anything below him.

    He could not have done that with an oak tree, but palms are MUCH lighter.

    It is amazing to watch guys work when they don't have all of the fancy equipment we may be used to using.
