Maybe not. I did a ton of volunteer work for this organization back when free time was more readily available than it is now. Back then, anyone caught using a plastic bucket for something like this was thanked for their help and asked to leave the job site. They may be a little less strict now.

With the right user that bucket is safer than stilts!! This video explains the problem.
Jump forward to about 45 seconds.
If you "stub your toe" on anything, uneven sub floor, random nail laying around, anything, you are going DOWN if you are on stilts. If you are on a bucket, you have a chance to save yourself.
