Outboard motor cutaway - photos

I'm always more intrigued by the amount of work involved in doing a good cutaway model rather than the final display.
I can still remember the first cut away I ever saw. It was back in the early 60's at 6 flags over Texas the display was at the Corvette Chevrolet sales promotional cubical the model was of a V8 engine cut away in such a fashion that you could see every internal part and they had a small electric motor connected to the flywheel to make it rotate real slow.
As a 3rd grader who had helped his dad tear down and assemble numerous engines I spent a lot of time explaining to some other kids what this or that was and why it moved when it did and what it did as if they were not smart enough to watch the film of the engine with a GM guy giving a narration
