One of many cartoons my farther did for the Model Engineer.

This was from 1954 and it's just the same now.

    Same here.
    your Dad is a genius

Over the years i have found/seen many work related cartoons - granted most had something to do with avionics or the navy.
if i manage to find them again i will post them on here.

    Chuck

I always enjoyed Chucks articles in the Model Engineer and the way he used humer in his clever ideas. One I remember was his die casting of model pistons and a cartoon if him dancing around on a pile if hot pistons. A very clever chap indeed.

Love that cartoon, a back tool post is the only way to part off on a small lather, and I have managed =to acquire one for my Myford ML7. Otherwise, I have been there with all the other ones, but never managed to be the Hero. A quote from one of my books, "reverting to the undignified method of cutting in the lathe with a hacksaw".

If you make miniatures the major parting-off problem is not so much how to do it but how to avoid losing the tiny part you're parting-off. Some time ago (almost a decade) I built a device to address this problem. If you're interested, you can read about it here...
