one eyed one horned crippled green pickle eater.......

been a fan of this site for a little while and thought I had signed up a while ago but I am for sure now lol.
I do have one eye, and other fun facts from a car accident in 96, face was tore off, backs broken in spots
for rest of life, so is one collar bone. I spent since then rehabilitating and did damn good at it. other than
my holloween face you couldn't tell had been in an accident. I actually spent everyday in my garage and did
nothing but fix cars and modify them. I am a licenced mechanic apprentice but got sick again before I could do the
    school.
then about two years ago I started to have balance issues, thought it was vertigo, so I did my best to adapt to it and
carry on. turns out it was far from that....nero-sarcoydosis.....its fun, I suggest you don't try it... its a brain thing.
I am now one of only 3 people in the world that has it....don't get jealous of my luck. this is why I don't
    play the lottery hahahaha.
back to the intro, while I as in the hospital recovering from the brain surgery to take a sample of one of
the seven brain leisions (turns out that's the medical term for scarring) I used the net to keep busy, that's how I
found this site, and it just made being cooped up worse cause I wanted to get out and do something lol.
so as of now I am hopefully temporarily in a wheelchair till my muscle mass comes back cause its hard to
hold a potato up with matchsticks, and 14 months in a hospital bed isn't a good prep for a marathon hahaha
but as of the last month or two I have been trying to get back to myself and have built a stand for the JD2 32 bender I
just got, a stand for the Canadian equivalent to harbour freight bead roller, and have been modifying the bead roller
to be motorized and a bit more functional cause I cant afford the good ones. and also I am rebuilding the rear end and
other modifications to my 72 chevelle that is supposed to be my daily driver when my go foot is back to 100% to the
    metal again. lol
sorry for the long boring story, but they asked for it lol
I only have a few pics of what I have done, but I will get them up in the next few days or so. sorry again for boring
    you guys.
p.s. any spelling mistakes are from typing in the dark with one eye.

Hi ONE EYE - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

Good to hear you are getting back in the build of things! I'm jealous of the 72 Chevelle.

Looking forward to those pics, especially the bead roller motorization.

I was actually tinkering with the bead roller a bit today, if I don't do something to a project consistently then it ends up on the shelf or packed away somewhere.
but here are a few of the pictures I have......

the [ics are of my jd2 I just got and haven't used yet, and the stand I made for it (not done) I need to make a plate where the electric hydraulic units going to sit, put the wheels on it, put the die holders on, and paint it.
most are of what I have done to the bead roller, made the upper shaft moveable, reinforced it with C channel, mounted the 100:1 speed reducer, and have yet to still mount the moter and chain/gears setup. figured it out, the 1725rpm motor will turn the shafts at 10.4 or so rpm. going to wire in the on off and the forward reverse switch still, and hopefully a potentiometer for more speed reduction if I want. the way its mounted on the stand is temporary to get everything figured I plan on mounting roller to the stand at the H part of the reinforcement.
and last but not least is the motor in my chevelle.....cause no man doesn't like looking at car parts lol
