Old motor = New Belt Sander?

    Guys,

Any thoughts on using an old table saw motor for a belt sander? I have an old B-Line motor that is currently being used in a table saw which is not needed.

    Any thoughts?

The motor you have should make a nice belt sander for up to a 2 or 3 inch wide belt

agree, but how? I am not an engineer and I don't want to "reinvent the wheel". I know it has been done before. Any suggestions?
