Sherline Machinist Tip 93. Compound slide tool holder for threading from the front side.
The Sherline compound slide is designed to be used from the rear with an inverted tool bit.
This works and has its's advantages. However when threading on the lathe I like my tool bit
in the front and cutting edge up.
This little block allows the tool bit to be "right side up" and at the front of the lathe.
I used the pictures in the tip #93 and my own measurements of my compound to make the part.
Next time I set up for threading it will be the tool to use.
Cheers, JR
