In re: to post 1, nut tapping machine. An expedient fully hands off process, though not I think common as equipment using bent shank taps.

Most tapping heads run spindle speed to cut but 1.5 or 2x in reverse to reduce cycle time. That's not visible in GIF presented.

Taps are HSS, cobalt, even carbide.
And, with out losing my text to go look, might be thread forming, not conventional tapping at all. There are no chips, with significant increase in thread quality.
Likely they aren't 10.9 or Grade 8 equivalent fasteners, 2 or 5 are just decent steel, so toughness isn't an issue.
There is enough cycle time and reasonable RPM to keep tap at same temperature, but might have mist or air to push chips as well. The locators would need a bit of air to keep jaws clean and locate part dependably. We don't realize how much excess WE visibly use of that!
The TiN type coatings can take a zillion cycles, but really help initially breaking a cutter in so it will last.
