Hello all, I am proud to be a part of this forum, just discovered it yesterday. I am from Weatherford, Texas just west of Fort Worth/ Dallas. I have collected old tools nearly all my life and restored some, not all yet both wood working and metal working. I have a soft spot in my heart for cast iron, an expensive disease with no cure. I get so much satisfaction from rescuing a piece of America's heritage and bringing it back to life. Especially keeping it from the fate of the scrappers. My main passion is wood turning which it helps to have a bandsaw or two or.... and other tools to go with it. I would list all I have but I'm afraid the Director of Finance and Recreation (wife) will see the list. I have a newly acquired Bridgeport mill I am getting it up and running. I have always thought it's a great thing to make a tool so you can use it to make another. Thanks

    Hi waynesworld,

    Welcome!

Glad you found our site. I think that many of us share your sentiments regarding rescue/restoration.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of your homemade tools - please post any you'd like to share directly to our Homemade Tools subforum. We'll add each entry to our database, as well as to your builder page on the site.

    Ken
