newbie making plans for a basement shop

Howdy, I'm currently building up a hobby woodworking shop with some additional light metalworking tools. I'm setting up in my basement, perhaps not the best of locations, but some recent waterproofing and painting made it workable and a lot more cheery. I anticipate retiring in a couple of years and expect that acquiring new tools, or used tools & then rebuilding same, will keep me quite busy. I've been lurking here for a while and hope to have something to share as I start various fixes and rebuilds.
