    Newbie introduction!

Somehow I stumbled across this site and found it very interesting, especially some of the Emco Unimat posts. I have a couple of them that I use everyday for small parts making in my business, mostly making tiny metric screws and threaded rods that are not readily available. I've dome some upgrading of my Unimat SL over the years with dial indicators and am wanting to take it a step farther. Also wanting to remove some backlash in the feeds, has about .004" in each feed, not bad but I'd like to cut that at least in half.

Anyway, thanks for all the great posts that I've seen so far. Lots more to get through as I have time and then I'll have plenty of questions.

I like Paul Jones' adjustable dial indicator stops/anvils, so that's probably the next build. Also removing backlash and, at some point, building a compound cross slide.
