Hello, I appreciate the chance to join this community of shop guys, DIYers, and Tool makers. I live in OK just north of OKC. I have a 30X40 shop with a couple of older Leblond lathes, they both are Servo shifts one is a Heavy Duty or Toolroom 16x54 (swings 19") and the other is a 15x54. I also have a 4HP Series II Bridgeport 4J, a 93' Fadal 4020 88HS, Lincoln Square Wave 355 TIG, and an old 5x10 CNC plasma table. Obviously my media of choice is metal and I would consider myself more of novice machinist as I have only been machining for about 5-6 years in my spare time. Recent projects are repairing and maintaining above machines LOL, but I've managed to fit a couple projects in there, the last one was a carbide 2 insert dovetail cutter. I will try to put in a link to my G+ page where I have some photos of my machines and recent projects. A future project/tool I'd like to build is a Dynamometer or Ring force gauge. I've seen one that Tom @ Oxtool made and featured in a couple of his vids on YT that he has deemed the "TOM-O-METER". Unfortunately, he doesn't talk much about the calcs used to determine any of the features of the tool, so anybody that has any info or references in regards to those I would be very interested.
Well, that's my rough intro and thanks again for the opportunity to join the forum. I hope I can contribute in some way.
Steve
